Suggested bundle structure
- Cover page with parties, property address and issue.
- One-page summary of what orders or outcome you seek.
- Date-ordered chronology.
- Document index.
- Key documents grouped by issue.
- Photos with dates and short captions.
- Hearing notes with the points you need to cover.
Chronology
Keep the chronology factual. Each entry should include date, event, evidence reference and why the event matters.
Avoid argument in the chronology. Save argument for your hearing notes or written submissions if the process asks for them.
Document index
A document index lets you point to evidence quickly. Use dates, short titles and page numbers or file names that match the bundle.
Quality control before filing or hearing
- Remove duplicates unless they show different service methods or versions.
- Check that personal information is necessary before sharing.
- Keep originals.
- Follow QCAT instructions for format, timing and service.
